Bronze Functional Spartan Armor

It is the classical archaic Greek armor of Spartan soldiers consisting mainly of a shield, greaves, a bead chest and later bronze armor and an Illyrian or Corinthian helmet.

Supplements such as additional protective bracelets or plates for the abdomen, thigh, ankle, etc., also found occasional use.
In later times, Spartans wore only a Pylian helmet and a purple linen tunic into battle. Whether Spartan hoplites at the time of the Persian Wars wore a breastplate and, if so, what kind, is often controversial: While on the one hand it was believed that Spartan warriors still had bronze breastplates that were further shaped by the chest muscles, on the other hand the opposite was believed.

This breastplate has been replicated from historical patterns. A Greek or Roman tunic and a Spartan helmet are enough to complete the panoply. A stunning and beautiful addition to any collection, also in suitable costume and media productions.

Our Spartan muscle armor is made of steel. The bronze finish gives it an authentic, more antique appearance. A decorative emblem adorns the front. The edge portions of the two-piece tank are flanged.
