Beautiful reconstruction of a typical axe knife from the early Middle Ages,
as they were popular among several Germanic tribes (not just the Saxons)

These Saxe were not used exclusively as weapons, but
They were used primarily as cutting, carving and serration knives.
The parier consists of two steel discs, which
They fix the decorated horn plate by means of two rivets. The handle is also made of horn and the
knob in turn made of steel.
The blade is not sharp!
The Sax knife comes with the brown leather sheath pictured.
