Beautiful reconstruction of a typical early medieval Kurzsaxmessers, as (not only the Saxen) popular among various Germanic tribes waren.Diese Saxe were not used exclusively as a weapon, but fulfilled their duty also, or even predominantly as cutting, and hau carving.
The parier consists of two steel discs, which secure the decorated horn plate by means of two rivets. The handle is made of bone and the knob is made of steel. This Saxmesser is also available as a horn grip. The Saxmesser comes with the depicted, brown leather sheath.
