This gladiator dagger is a very good replica of a weapon, which was discovered during excavations in Pompeii. The city of Pompeii was built in 79 AD largely destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius. Now it is a paradise for archaeologists.
The dagger has a very detailed, hand-made grip made of bone. The blade is made of carbon steel. It is blunt and therefore ideal for collection as well as battle reenactments. Since the handle is made of naturally growing animal bones there, small cracks in the material are possible and normal. Such small errors appear authentic, natural and unique at the same time and do not reduce the quality or strength of the handle.
