Medieval disc-pommel daggers were used primarily by knights, horseless mercenaries and archers as a secondary weapon. The handle of this dagger adorns both sides of the cross, the sign of the Crusaders.
The blade of our replicas is forged from spring steel and passes through the knob, where it is invisibly screwed. The handle is lined with leather and braided wire. The dagger has a wide guard and a round knob made of malleable cast iron. The blade is hardened to approximately 48 HRC in oil. The dagger has a deep, long groove. The tip is rounded and the edges are blunt.
