Bowie Knife of the Confederate Army
Bowie knives made their debut in the American Civil War, which was fought between 1861 and 1865 between the northern states and the United Confederacy in the southern states.
These knives were scary just because of their size, they had a long blade and above all a metal handguard and were used as an effective melee weapon and tool.
This replica of a Bowie knife from this period has an unsharpened carbon steel blade as issued to the CSA (Confederate States Army). The handle is made of dark wood and has a hand guard made of brass.
The included sheath is made of stitched brown leather.
