Saint Maurice is known as the leader of the Theban Legion and has been venerated as the patron of the Army, cutlers and armourers since the fourth century.
The sword, which is stored with some of his remains in Turin, is said to be the one with which St. Maurice was beheaded, although the sword was handcrafted in the 13th century, 1,000 years after this event.
This replica features an EN45 spring steel blade. The edges are blunt and the tip is rounded for added safety. The blade offers both great flexibility and a lower weight.
The curved guard and Brazil nut pommel are made of steel.
The hilt is covered with dark leather. The high-quality scabbard is made of wood, which has a leather wrap and features brass rings.
