The original of this beautiful reconstruction was once wielded by one of the most prominent English knights, Sir William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke, who faithfully served the British crown in the times of Henry II, Richard the Lionheart and John Lackland. The sword is now kept in a British museum.
Our sword is a precisely detailed replica of the original.
It is hand-made. The guard and pommel of heat-treated malleable cast iron stand out for their elegant and functional simplicity. The spring steel blade is hand-riveted to the pommel. The grip is made of leather. The blade is oil-tempered to 48-50° Rockwell, and offers both great flexibility and lower weight. The edges of the blade are blunt and the tip is rounded for safety.
The sheath is made of wood, is lined with leather and has bronze rings for proper attachment to the sword belt.
