The exceptionally well-preserved of our replicas is now in the Parisian Musée de Cluny le monde médiéval, the French National Museum of Medieval Art. It dates back to the late 15th century and was probably made in a southern German sword factory.
This battle-ready reconstruction is made exclusively by hand. The S-shaped curved spurs and the fluted pommel sides of the disc are made of hardened, malleable cast iron. The oil-hardened to approximately 48-50 HRC spring steel blade goes through the knob and is screwed there. The handle and the stop cross point are consuming wrapped in leather. The blade section is rhombic. The tip of the blade and the blade are blunt and rounded.
The sword comes with a beautiful leather covered wooden scabbard.
