Very nice reconstruction of a late medieval greatsword. These swords were produced in the 14th century and were called Bastard swords or simply called longswords.
This sword is made exclusively by hand. The curved front guard with braided guard ring is made of steel. The wooden handle is intricately carved. The Torsionsmuster can be found here and also on the iron pommel again.
The oil hardened to approx. 48-50 HRC spring steel blade is ground through and hand-ground. The blade section is rhombic. The blade tip and the blade are blunt and rounded.
It comes with a case is included.
