Parazonio - Greco-Roman short sword
Actually the parazonium was an early Roman dagger, sometimes a short sword originating in ancient Greece. It was mostly used in Roman legion officers as a second weapon beside the sword (gladius used) and is the precursor of Pugios.
The pointed, leaf-shaped leaf is typical.
Our model has a blunt carbon steel blade. Sections of the eagle-shaped handle are made from real animal bones.
A matching wooden scabbard with leather and brass fittings is included.
