Late Roman Sword (Spatha)
Beginning around the 3rd century the Romans began to adopt the long double-edged swords, called Spathas, which were originally only used against the Germans.
This replica is a reconstruction of a 4th century Spatha.
The hilt is carved from animal bone. The blade has two indentations.
Delivery includes a wooden case covered in genuine leather with bronze ornamentation.
