John Lee Shiro Functional Katana

The John Lee Shiro Functional Katana Sword is a masterpiece of Japanese art and craftsmanship. The blade is made from hand-forged 1045 high carbon steel and features a carefully honed Hamon line, giving it a truly authentic look. The blade is designed in the Shinogi Zukuri style and features a full groove (Bo-Hi) that is added to balance the sword and enhance its maneuverability.

The Katana's hilt is wrapped in white cotton and features a traditional Hineri Maki style, which is characterized by a spiral pattern. The hilt and scabbard of the sword are finished with a glossy white lacquer finish, giving the sword an elegant and distinctive appearance.

The sword is completely disassembled and features a long-ended handle which is fixed to the hilt with two bamboo pegs (mekugi). The ornaments, including the blade collar (Habaki), washers (Seppá), Tsuba, Fuchi and Kashira, are made of metal and add to the authenticity of the sword.

All original John Lee swords come with a stamp and certificate of origin, guaranteeing the authenticity of the product. The sword comes in a John Lee protective sheath to protect it during storage and transport.

The total length of the sword without sheath is approximately 101.5 cm, with a hilt length of around 29 cm. The blade length is approximately 72 cm, with a total weight (without sheath) of around 1050 g.
