John Lee Fujisan Functional Katana

The John Lee Fujisan Katana is a true work of art, a masterpiece of Asian swordsmithing. This Samurai sword is part of the John Lee series and is one of the most impressive on the market. The blades of the swords are made of carbon steel tempered and hand forged in a traditional way, making them very strong and durable. In addition, the blades have been folded 12 times to provide around 8000 layers and create a beautiful Damascus structure.

The blade is sharp and comes provided with a Bo-hi (channel) to reduce its weight and allow the sword to be moved with ease. The handles (Tsuka) are made of wood and are covered with real fish skin, providing a firm and comfortable grip even during long cutting sessions. The handle windings (Tsuka-Ito) are traditionally made of black cotton and there are two menukis on the handles which add a touch of elegance and exclusivity.

The swords fishing is particularly long and is fastened with two bamboo pins (Mekugi) on the handle. The sheaths (Saya) are made of wood and the blade clamps (Habaki) are made of brass to add durability and aesthetics. The sword is made following museum templates, ensuring its precision and authenticity.

As for its dimensions, the John Lee Fujisan Katana has a total length of approximately 104 cm, a blade length of about 73 cm, and a handle length of approximately 30.5 cm. The curvature of the blade (Sori) is approximately 18-20 mm. Without a scabbard, the sword weighs approximately 1.05 kg, while with the scabbard included, the total weight is around 1.3 kg.

You must send the item(s) to us using your own means. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted.
