Can you imagine a world where the characters from your childhood come to life? Going outside and, just by looking around, discovering magical creatures that invite you to explore, socialize, and... Living adventures. That's the universe Pokémon GO has created ; a phenomenon that has captured the imagination of millions.

Created by Niantic, the idea grew out of a previous project called Ingress , an augmented reality game that encouraged players to explore the real world. Combining the popularity of Pokémon with augmented reality technology, in collaboration with The Pokémon Company and Nintendo, Niantic launched the game in July 2016, and it quickly became a global phenomenon.
Since its launch, it has transformed the way we interact with our surroundings, turning every stroll into an exciting quest, inviting everyone from children to adults to leave the comfort of home and go exploring.
Here, you can learn more about this dynamic game.
The beginning of the adventure
When you log in for the first time you can link to an account for easy access. from another device. You'll then meet your guide, Professor Willow, who will explain everything you need to know about the app.
Starting the adventure, it offers a wide variety of options to customize your trainer, starting with choosing between a male or female character. It also allows you to choose your starter Pokémon from the classics, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle, staying true to the “starter selection” concept that every trainer in the Pokémon universe usually uses.
Augmented Reality
Using augmented reality (AR), when you encounter a wild Pokémon, you can turn on your phone's camera and use it to see the Pokémon in your surroundings.
For iPhone users with models 6s and later, AR+ mode allows you to get closer to Pokémon, providing the opportunity to catch them more easily or take the perfect photo.

Partner Pokémon
This feature allows you to choose one of your Pokémon to accompany you, appearing next to you on your profile screen. It will also reward you with candy and other prizes as you walk with it.
Sync Adventure
This tool allows you to track your distance traveled, even when Pokémon GO is inactive. This way, you'll continue to earn candy for walking with your buddy and progressing toward hatching Pokémon Eggs.
Additionally, you'll receive notifications when your buddy finds Candy or an Egg is about to hatch.
Each week, Sincroaventura will provide you with a summary of your activities, and you'll receive rewards for each distance goal you complete.
This feature connects with the Health app on Apple and Google Fit on Android.

Your own Pokédex
In Pokémon GO, as you level up, you'll have the opportunity to catch more powerful Pokémon; each encounter and Pokémon you obtain will be added to your Pokédex, the encyclopedia every trainer dreams of completing.
The map and its information
The Pokémon GO map is based on data from Google Maps and information gathered from Ingress . It uses geolocation to allow players to explore their surroundings in search of Pokémon, PokéStops, and Gyms.
Furthermore, PokéStops are carefully designed to be places of interest, such as monuments, museums, or parks, encouraging players to explore them. Identified as a cube, usually blue, that transforms into an interactive disc, allowing players to collect PokéBalls and other items by rotating it.
Trainers level 40 or higher can request stops by suggesting places of public interest, contributing to the expansion of the world of Pokémon Go.
Gyms , on the other hand, are battle locations where players can compete for control and demonstrate their skill. Gyms can host up to six defending Pokémon and can be challenged starting at level 5 in simple, quick battles where you can use basic and special attacks and move strategically to avoid damage.
Also, spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops and Gyms reveals Field Research tasks, which offer rewards. And Special Research, presented by Professor Willow, delves even deeper into the game's story.

The fights
You can battle against other Trainers in real time, using a battle code and selecting three Pokémon; success depends on avoiding opponent attacks and strategically using shields and protections. Upon completion, both players will receive rewards.
Collective Modality
One of the most exciting experiences in Pokémon GO is its team mode. You can join a team, where you can collaborate with other Trainers to strengthen your Gyms. Each Pokémon can defend a Gym, and you must work together with your teammates to maintain a solid defense.
You can also battle rival Gyms; if you manage to reduce their motivation to zero, the Gym will be yours.

What can you win?
Players can win in a variety of ways, including capturing Pokémon, completing quests, and participating in gym battles, gaining experience and resources that help them improve their skills and capture more powerful Pokémon.
As you level up, you'll also unlock items to heal your Pokémon, upgraded Poké Balls that increase your catch chances, and Berries that will help along the way.
Additionally, participating in special events and raids allows you to obtain rare Pokémon and exclusive items.
Friendly competition also adds a social element that makes the game even more appealing, turning the possibility of making friends into an added reward, so here we can say that the real triumph is the friends made along the way.
Why does it fascinate the world?
The magic lies in its ability to bring people together. It encourages physical activity, contributing to a more active lifestyle, exploration, and social interaction.
Many players have formed lasting friendships through this game, and it has also been used in community events and charitable activities.
Additionally, the nostalgia evoked by the Pokémon franchise appeals to all ages, creating a sense of community and belonging.
