2020 Model - The Micro Recon 1 Tanto Point with a 4034SS steel blade replaces the previous AUS 8A steel model (item number CST-27TDT), which is no longer in production.

4034SS Stainless Steel
A middle-class stainless steel from Japan, whose higher chromium content ensures remarkable corrosion resistance. This steel is also relatively easy to grind and has relatively good wear resistance. It is often used for kitchen knives/cutlery or for rather smaller knives that are generally of good quality, but still offered at an economical price.
