The anime release schedule for July and August 2025 promises a season full of variety, talent, and intense emotions.
With new titles that not only stand out for their originality but also for the backing of renowned studios and authors, here is a list of must-see anime this season.
Silent Witch

This new anime premieres on July 4, 2025, on channels such as Tokyo MX, BS11, YTV, and TV Aichi; while in Spain, it will be available on July 5 via Crunchyroll.
Based on Matsuri Isora's light novel Secrets of the Silent Witch, the series follows Monica Everett, "the Silent Witch": a shy mage capable of casting spells without incantations.
After defeating a black dragon, the Seven Sages entrust her with protecting the second prince incognito at an academy full of nobles, palace intrigues, and supernatural creatures; the mission combines mystery, humor, magical duels, and court politics.
The project is by Studio Gokumi. Yasuo Iwamoto directs, with Takaomi Kanasaki as chief director, screenwriter, and sound supervisor. Cona Nitanda designs characters; Yoshinori Iwanaga creates monsters and artifacts, and the soundtrack is by Rina Tayama and Cygames, providing orchestration and ethereal pop.
Gachiakuta

It premieres on July 6 on Crunchyroll, with availability for Spain on the same day.
Based on Kei Urana's manga, this series combines intense action, punk aesthetics, social critique, and dark fantasy.
Set in the Abyss, a brutal world where outcasts are thrown, Rudo —unjustly accused— is sent there and must fight to survive, discover his past, and combat a corrupt system.
The production is by Studio Bones, with Fumihiko Suganuma directing, Hiroshi scripting, and Taku Iwasaki composing the music.
The designs, by Satoshi Ishino, reflect a gritty, violent, and visually unique universe.
Gachiakuta began as a manga published in Spain by Norma in 2022 and is already an international phenomenon.
With savage battles, unique powers, and a message against discrimination and classism, it is shaping up to be a powerful anime.
Tougen Anki: Dark Demon Of Paradise

It is one of the most anticipated premieres, with its launch confirmed for July 11. Its simultaneous broadcast on platforms like Crunchyroll, Netflix, Prime Video, Anime Onegai, and Bandplay makes it one of the most globally accessible titles of the year.
Based on Yura Urushibara's manga, this dark fantasy shonen tells the story of Shiki Ichinose, a young man who discovers his heritage as an Oni, a descendant of demons, and must confront the Momotaro, ancient hunters.
Directed by Ato Nonaka and produced by Studio Hibari, it features a script by Yukie Sugawara and music by Kohta Yamamoto. Character design is by Ryoko Amisaki.
Tougen Anki reinterprets the Momotaro myth, reversing roles between heroes and demons, and offers a story filled with action, revenge, darkness, internal conflicts, and social critique. Additionally, it will include an extra mini-anime: Onimomomomo.
The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity

This is Netflix's new school romantic anime, based on Saka Mikami's manga. Its premiere on July 5 will be in Japan, and it will arrive on Netflix globally on July 13.
It portrays the quiet relationship between Rintarō, a technical school student, and Kaoruko, a young woman from an elite school. United by their shyness and sensitivity, they discover love through small gestures.
Produced by CloverWorks and directed by Miyuki Kuroki, it features a script adapted by Rino Yamazaki and music by Moeki Harada. Its warm and realistic visual style, combined with a melancholic soundtrack, enhances the contained emotion.
Two new gems from Yama Wayama:
“Let’s Go Karaoke!” and “Captivated, By You”

Let's Go Karaoke! and Captivated, by You mark mangaka Yama Wayama's anticipated anime debut, with two series airing on TV Tokyo and affiliated channels, both produced by Doga Kobo.
The first, a musical yakuza slice-of-life comedy, premieres on July 24 and follows Narita, a yakuza member taking singing lessons with a high school student.
The second, arriving on August 21, is an introspective school drama about two opposite teenagers who discover mutual acceptance.
Both adaptations feature direction by Asami Nakatani, character design by Mai Matsuura, and original music.
Based on manga from Beam Comics / Enterbrain, the series aim for global expansion through simulcast and potential Spanish dubs.
With meticulous aesthetics, realistic settings, and great attention to emotional detail, they promise to be benchmarks for 2025 anime. These are human, tender, and original stories.
Presentations with the Doga Kobo and Beam Comics teams are expected at Anime Expo in Los Angeles and at Comiket in August in Odaiba, Tokyo.

With proposals covering the most varied genres, this year's anime inaugurates in July a period rich in narrative and stylistic nuances.
These productions not only expand already established universes but also open new avenues for telling human stories with depth and sensitivity.
