The Straw Hat Crew
One Piece is one of the most iconic shōnen anime of all time, and its success is largely due to the incredible characters that bring this story full of action, adventure, and humor to life. At the center of it all is Monkey D. Luffy, a young man with the dream of becoming the King of the Pirates while searching for the legendary treasure known as the “One Piece”.

1. Monkey D. Luffy

The first indispensable member on this list is, naturally, the Straw Hat captain.
Luffy is the leader of the crew and the driving force behind their adventures, whose unmistakable straw hat gives the group its name.
Far from the classic image of pirates in other stories, Luffy has a brave, cheerful, and carefree character, with a certain degree of innocence, but also with a determination and empathy that inspire those around him. His dream is to become the King of the Pirates and find the “One Piece” treasure, and he demonstrates his unwavering will throughout the journey.
Ever since he ate the Gomu Gomu Devil Fruit, his body acquired elastic properties, giving him unique combat abilities.
2. Roronoa Zoro

Zoro was the first member to join Luffy. Ironically known as “Pirate Hunter”, he was convinced by his captain to join the crew, taking the position of first swordsman. He dreams of becoming the world's greatest swordsman and masters a Santoryu combat style, which uses three swords simultaneously.
Although serious and disciplined, he is also loyal and protective of the crew. His epic duels have marked some of the most memorable moments in the series.
3. Nami

Nami, the group's navigator, was the third to join the crew. She is an exceptional navigator and dreams of drawing a complete map of the world.
Her ability to manipulate the weather with her Clima-Tact weapon makes her a formidable ally. Intelligent and cunning, Nami uses her wit to solve problems and negotiate. Her evolution from thief to loyal navigator greatly contributes to her being one of the series' most beloved characters.
4. Usopp

Usopp, the group's sniper, stands out for his creativity and ingenuity. His dream is to become a brave warrior of the sea, like his father Yasopp.
Although at first his cowardice was a predominant trait, his character development has led him to face great challenges, demonstrating his bravery and commitment to his friends. His skill with the slingshot and his characteristic humor make him a key piece of the crew.
5. Sanji

He is the ship's chef, but also one of its most powerful fighters. He masters the Diable Jambe technique, in which he uses his legs to perform devastating attacks. His dream is to find the legendary ocean “All Blue”.
Elegant and altruistic, Sanji has a strong sense of honor, especially when it comes to protecting women. His charisma and culinary skill often make him stand out in the crew.
6. Tony Tony Chopper

Chopper is a reindeer who gained human characteristics by eating the Hito Hito no Mi Devil Fruit. He is the crew's doctor and dreams of being able to cure any disease or ailment.
He went from being an exiled reindeer to becoming a renowned doctor, and has saved the crew on numerous occasions throughout their adventures after joining them.
Despite his peculiar appearance, Chopper found a family in the Straw Hats who value him for his kind heart and exceptional medical skill.
7. Nico Robin

She is a brilliant archaeologist and the only one capable of reading the Poneglyphs, which contain historical secrets of the world.
She consumed the Hana Hana no Mi Devil Fruit, which allows her to replicate parts of her body, achieving, for example, several extra limbs.
Mysterious and elegant, Robin seeks to uncover the true history of the world and reveal it, a goal that leads her to face constant dangers.
8. Franky

Franky is the group's shipwright. He was rebuilt as a cyborg capable of using weapons integrated into his own body after an accident and possesses exceptional engineering skills.
At Enies Lobby, he confronts Luffy to convince him to allow him to join the crew and is the creator of the Thousand Sunny, one of their ships.
Despite his imposing appearance, he is a sensitive and loyal man. His dream is to create and sail the greatest ship in the world.
9. Brook

Brook is a living skeleton who got a second chance at life thanks to the Yomi Yomi no Mi Devil Fruit. He is the group's musician and dreams of reuniting with Laboon, a whale he met before he died.
With his humor and musical abilities, he brings joy to the crew, in addition to being an expert swordsman.
10. Jinbe

Jinbe, the crew's helmsman, is a whale shark fish-man and a former member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
His colossal strength and mastery of Fish-Man Karate make him a formidable fighter.
