Viking round shield with Celtic cross motif, hand painted, 61 cm Ø
The colourful and visually appealing Viking shield we offer here is made of approx. 13 mm thick plywood, covered with linen and elaborately decorated with a hand-painted Celtic cross with knot pattern.
In the middle of the shield there is a generously arranged steel hump, which is fixed firmly in position with four rivets, and offers enough space even for strong Viking hands. The back of the shield is painted black and equipped with a hilt handle made of solid wood.
Although this wooden shield is too light and thin for full contact, it is still a great prop for reenactment, LARP, stage or TV/film and will make your transformation into a proud Norse warrior perfect. Moreover, it is also a beautiful collection or display item or decorative object for all lovers of the Viking age.
