Long Dagger Saxo Viking Knife
This Viking knife is a replica of the long dagger that was widely used in the Anglo-Saxon Middle Ages in all Germanic, Scandinavian and Saxon companies. It is a collectible item that can be used as an accessory to complete your costume and transform you into a proud Nordic warrior.
Designed with a single-edged EN45 spring steel blade, it has a strong backing and a pointed tip. The guard and pommel are made from cast steel, while the wooden handle is wrapped tightly in wire to facilitate a secure grip. All components have been blackened, giving it a sleek, dark and rustic look.
The overall length of this handmade Viking knife is approx. 50.5 cm, with a blade that is approx. 35 cm long and a blade thickness of approx. 4 mm / 3.5 mm in front of the tip. The handle length is approx. 15.5 cm, while the maximum width of the blade is approx. 4.6 cm. The centre of gravity is located at a distance of approx. 7.5 cm from the stop, while the weight of the knife is approx. 720 g (approx. 820 g with sheath).
This Viking sax is not suitable for display combat, it is a collector's item or decorative object. It comes with a sturdy, high-quality case made of 4mm thick vegetable tanned leather with beautiful braided stitching.
It is important to note that the steel used in this knife is not stainless and may have small corrosion spots. It is recommended to regularly maintain this Viking knife with Ballistol, a universal oil that is ideal for preserving steel goods.
