It is a katana stripped of ornamentation, with the blade stored in a wooden scabbard. It is often used for display purposes or as a minimalist piece of art. Iaito: The Iaito is a katana designed specifically for the practice of Iaido, a martial art that focuses on drawing and cutting with precision.
