Adrian Paul was tasked with bringing this character to life in the series Highlander: The Series, and he soon became as important a figure as Connor in the hearts of fans.

Who Designed Duncan MacLeod's Sword?
His sword was specially designed for the series by master armorer and blacksmith Marto de Toledo, a highly renowned Spanish manufacturer.
The katana was conceived to reflect both the Japanese character of the weapon and the spiritual essence of the character.
The pommel features a meticulously sculpted dragon's head, a symbol of power, wisdom, and protection. This hilt became one of its most distinctive features, making it easily recognizable to fans of the franchise.
Description of the Sword: Lethal Elegance
His katana has a curved, tempered steel blade approximately 70 cm long, sharp, light, and strong, ideal for precise and quick cuts. A design inspired by ancient Japanese forges, where each sword was a work of art, with a soul of its own.
The tsuka (handle) is wrapped in black leather for a firm grip, and the guard (tsuba) is discreet but effective. Most notably, the dragon's head on the pommel, which, besides being decorative, reinforces the idea that this weapon is more than a simple combat tool: it is a symbol of lineage, honor, and destiny.
