Summary of the first season
In the first installment, we met Wednesday Addams, sent to Never Again Academy after an incident with some classmates from her previous school. There, while discovering her psychic abilities, she becomes embroiled in a series of murders linked to a creature known as the Hyde.
Over eight episodes, the protagonist investigates the crimes and unmasks Tyler as the monster and Laurel Gates as his controller, in a story that mixes intrigue, supernatural powers and a dark and disturbing family background.
The finale left several plot points open: Tyler's escape, the death of Principal Weems, and a disturbing anonymous message on Wednesday's new cell phone.

The second season picks up the story of her return to the academy, facing new enemies, supernatural challenges, and secrets buried in the Addams family's history.

Jenna Ortega cements her place as the show's most iconic face. She's joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), Isaac Ordoñez (Pugsley), Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester), George Burcea (Largo), Emma Myers (Enid), Joy Sunday (Bianca), and Moosa Mostafa (Eugene).
Percy Hynes White (Xavier) and Naomi J. Ogawa (Yoko) will not be returning. Instead, notable figures include Steve Buscemi (possibly the new director of Never Again), Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton, Haley Joel Osment, Frances O'Connor, and Lady Gaga, who will make a cameo, according to Variety.
The special participation of Christopher Lloyd is also confirmed.
Production and filming
The second season was filmed in Ireland between May and December 2024. Tim Burton returns as lead producer and maintains the series' signature visual aesthetic.
Jenna Ortega, in addition to starring in the series, served as a producer for this season, with greater creative freedom granted by Netflix. According to the actress, this allowed her to "do things on a larger scale and delve deeper into the character's emotional development."
Confirmation of the third season
Netflix has officially confirmed a third season, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter and confirmed by the platform itself on its social media. Additionally, the possibility of a spin-off centered on new characters from the Wednesday universe is being considered.
Ortega has indicated that the creative team is planning up to seven seasons, although they are open to adapting based on the evolution of the plot.
According to Tim Burton, finding the ideal actress was key: "If we didn't find the right Wednesday, there was no show." The creators, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, emphasized that she was deeply involved in the scripts, displaying a holistic vision uncommon among actors.
