Anglo-Saxon Fetter Lane Sword

The Anglo-Saxon Fetter Lane sword is a masterpiece of Middle Anglo-Saxon history, and this detailed replica is a marvel that anyone would want to own. The high-quality Damascus steel blade has a wide double-sided bevel that almost reaches the tip, with parallel cutting edges that are not sharpened, making it safe for display. The handle, adorned with filigree patterns, is cast in brass and consists of several pieces riveted together. The top "cap" of the pommel has a central arched element, which is framed on both sides by three smaller beads with pearl wire patterns.

The sword comes with a brown wooden/leather scabbard which has a wooden passage for belt up to 5cm wide, along with a brass hood and cap. It is important to note that this sword is not suitable for display combat and is intended as a collector's item or decorative object, or even as an accessory to complete a costume.

This sword comes in two versions: the standard version with EN45 spring steel blade and the high-quality version with Damascus steel blade presented here. The sword has a total length of about 94 cm, with a blade length of about 79 cm and a blade thickness of about 4.5 mm (cutting edge approx. 1 mm). The handle length is about 15 cm (handle area approx. 8.5 cm) and the maximum blade width is about 4.5 cm. The centre of gravity is located approximately 13 cm in front of the stop.

You must send the item(s) to us using your own means. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted.
