What is Bleach?

It is a Japanese anime series that was created by the mangaka Tite Kubo. It is based on the original story of the manga, but it also has many influences from other characters and sagas such as One Piece, Dragon Ball Z or Naruto. A group of friends gather to form the Shinigamis (the avenging spirits), who are in charge of protecting human souls that cannot continue their journey to the next world due to their evil deeds.

The story follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year-old high school student with the ability to see spirits. His life takes an unexpected turn when he accidentally gains the powers of a Shinigami, a spiritual being tasked with protecting the living and guiding deceased souls to the afterlife. Ichigo finds himself involved in the secret Shinigami society and, later, in larger conflicts involving spirits and spiritual beings.

Ichigo and his friends' main goal is to protect the living from Hollows, evil corrupted spirits who seek to devour human souls. As the story progresses, Ichigo faces more significant challenges, including other Shinigami, powerful beings called Arrancar, and larger conspiracies that threaten the balance between the spirit and human worlds.
