Bodices appeared in the late Middle Ages and are still firmly rooted in traditional costume fashion today. They give the desired shape to the upper body and are worn both under and over clothing. Unlike corsets, bodices or corsets (also known as stays) are less rigid and more comfortable to wear.
Our lace-up bodice is made of cotton velvet and cotton fabric. It is also lined with cotton fabric.
The front lacing and the partial lacing on the sides allow for individual adjustment to your own body.
The longitudinal seams are slightly reinforced, making this bodice very comfortable to wear and easy to wear all day long.
If you combine the bodice with a matching blouse, skirt, and accessories, you get a harmonious outfit for a maiden or a pirate.

Care instructions:
Cotton velvet should not be put in the washing machine, as this will cause the velvet to crease irreversibly. You should also not iron the velvet, as this will cause the pile to lose its depth. We recommend brushing off light stains with a clothes brush in the direction of the pile. If there is more serious contamination, we recommend taking the garment to the dry cleaner.

You must send the item(s) to us using your own means. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted.
