Medieval helmet recreation of pikeman 1607

In 17th century Europe, the Spanish Empire was at its peak, becoming the world's leading power, and the crown's domains were expanding considerably. The Dutch, due to a clash of cultures and religion, among other things, decided to rise up against their sovereigns in what would become known as the Eighty Years' War, or the Flemish War. To help this rebellion, Jacob de Gheyn II made engravings for "The Exercise of Arms" in which he taught the use of the pike, the musket and the arquebus.

Taken directly from these plates, we have interpreted and produced this magnificent helmet, ideal for those recreating the fighting classes for the 17th century. In the engravings, it can be seen on pikemen troops, it can also be seen on arquebusiers and depicted in art from other places and troops. The included jugulars were used to protect the neck and face of the wearers and are a piece that is commonly seen again in this period.

The Customer has the right to withdraw from the order within 14 calendar days of receipt. The cost of return shipping will be borne by the Customer. The products must be in the same condition as received, with the original packaging, and must not have been used.
