The battle helmet, like the well-known Schaller, the Bascinet , and by the middle of the century had become one of the most widely used helmets in all of Europe. This type of helmet was found in a wide variety of shapes and variations - from simple to elaborate, open or with a visor, with more or less pronounced neck protection, etc. - and was particularly popular in Italy ( celata ), Germany, France ( salade ) and England ( sallet ). At the beginning of the Renaissance, it finally decided to go with the Burgonet (Balaclava) developed in the 16th century.

The late medieval sallet offered here was made of 1.6 mm (16 gauge) steel. The helmet has a movable visor, which is decorated with a stylized brass cross and engraved leaf motifs. The folding visor is equipped with a rectangular viewing slit approximately 2 wide, which not only ensures a proper view, but also ensures the necessary air circulation thanks to its pointed lower edge.

The interior is blackened and fitted with a riveted and adjustable leather inlay. The 2mm thick black leather chin strap is fitted with a steel buckle.

The Customer has the right to withdraw from the order within 14 calendar days of receipt.
