We present you a little about Gyomei Himejima, Tengen Uzui and Muichiro Tokito, 3 of the 9 Polar (9 Hashira) of Kimetsu no Yaiba, that is, 3 of those hunters...
As we mentioned in a previous post about the world of Kimetsu no Yaiba , within the Demon Slayer organization, there's a special rank known as the Hashira, or Pillar. This elite group is made up of the Demon Slayer Corps' most powerful swordsmen, not only due to their individual skills, physical strength, speed, intelligence, or other abilities, but also a combination of all of them. They possess the ability to confront even the Twelve Demon Moons. The Pillars are led by Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and each has perfected a "breathing" style or even created their own derived from other styles. Each Pillar is assigned a region to protect, where they gather information about demons and train. Additionally, they seek to train a Tsuguko, or successor, to take their place when they die or retire. These can be either accepted or recruited by a Pillar, who usually chooses a hunter with a similar breathing style, although they may also select someone with a completely different style. Becoming a Pillar requires arduous training that, under normal conditions, can take up to five years, although the most talented can achieve it in less time. Furthermore, they must defeat one of the Twelve Demon Moons or have slain 50 demons. Below, we introduce you to three of the nine Hashira. Will any of them be your favorite? Rock Pillar - Gyomei Himejima (Image of Gyomei Q-Posket Figure Ver. A ) He is the strongest pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps, known for his imposing presence and mastery of the "Rock Breath." He compensates for his blindness from birth with extraordinary hearing and sense of smell, allowing him to accurately perceive even the most subtle demonic presence. Kind and deeply religious in character, he offers guidance and wisdom to the younger generation. Despite his tragic history, his determination and big heart make him a role model for his peers. During the final battles, he demonstrates exceptional physical and mental prowess. Even without activating the Hunter's Mark, he is able to take on the most powerful foes, earning the respect of both allies and adversaries. His Demon Slayer Mark appears on his forearms in a crack-like pattern. Pillar of Sound - Tengen Uzui (Image of Tengen Uzui's Pop Figure ) He is known for his flamboyant personality and unique fighting style based on the "Breathing of Sound." He combines his experience as a former shinobi with tremendous speed and strength to confront demons with lethal effectiveness. In battle, he has demonstrated both bravery and strategic skills. Despite his eccentricity and tendency to attract attention, Tengen has a deep commitment to the safety of his loved ones, especially his three wives: Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru. He rejects the shinobi ideology of prioritizing missions over human life, valuing the well-being of his comrades above all else. Pillar of Mist - Muichiro Tokito (Image of a figure by Muichiro Tokito ) He is a true prodigy among demon hunters, renowned for his mastery of the "Mist Breath." At a very young age, he managed to become a Pillar thanks to his exceptional swordsmanship and techniques such as the "Blinding Mist." Orphaned as a child, he lost his twin brother at the hands of a demon, an event that marked his distant nature. After this event, he lost his memories, adopting a logical and emotionally cold demeanor. However, his relationship with Tanjiro helped him regain his humanity, becoming more expressive and empathetic. Muichiro's personal development and the complexity of his story make him a beloved and respected character. His Demon Slayer Mark runs across his body in a red design reminiscent of mist.

A brief look at the existing history of Bleach. We'll tell you a bit about its manga, light novels, and anime, whose final season of a significant arc is about...
Talking about Bleach is evoking one of the most emblematic series of anime and manga. Since its debut on August 7, 2001, in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, it has become one of the pillars of the genre. Created by Tite Kubo, this work captivated readers with its mix of action, memorable characters and a spiritual universe full of nuances. Over the years, it consolidated itself as one of the most popular and long-running series of its time, conquering millions of fans around the world, with a total of 74 compiled volumes, when its publication stopped in 2016, being considered concluded with the end of the Thousand Year Blood War arc, due to some health problems of the mangaka. Its anime adaptation began in 2004 under the production of Studio Pierrot, becoming a worldwide phenomenon, expanding its reach and reinforcing its status; earning a special place in the hearts of fans of the shōnen genre. After a long hiatus, the anime returned with the Thousand-Year Bloody War arc, which is now about to reach its conclusion. This story immerses us in the world of the Shinigami , entities charged with maintaining the balance between the living and the dead. It follows Ichigo Kurosaki on his journey to become a warrior determined to protect both his loved ones and the entire world. However, Bleach 's popularity hasn't been limited to the manga and anime. It has continued with the publication of light novels that delve deeper into the stories of other characters after the events that concluded in 2016 with the manga's run. Highlights include: · "Bleach: We Do Knot Always Love You" , written by Makoto Matsubara, focuses on the relationship between Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai, as well as exploring new bonds that emerge after the end of the battle and offering answers to some plot holes in the manga. · "Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World" , written by Ryōgo Narita, revolves around Shūhei Hisagi and reveals hidden secrets of the Bleach universe. After several years of hiatus, in August 2021, Tite Kubo returned to offer a continuation of his manga when he published a special episode titled "No Breaths From Hell" . This chapter marked the beginning of a new arc, called the "Hell Arc", which promises to explore new dimensions, immersing fans in a story full of mystery and revelations about the souls condemned to Hell. Although its publication has not followed a regular pace, expectations are high and fans eagerly await more details. The world of shinigami awaits you once again! Bleach: The Thousand-Year Bloody War Final Season Now that the anime has returned with the adaptation of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, which began in 2022, we find ourselves on the verge of a new season that promises to take us to the climax of this story. This arc, which adapts the original final events of the manga, was divided into four parts, with special attention paid to ensuring a faithful and detailed representation of the most crucial moments of the work, while also adding scenes, all supervised and approved by Tite Kubo. The final part, scheduled for 2025, will be the final climax that will conclude the confrontation between the Shinigami and the Quincy . Although we haven't found any official information on it, it is expected to be similar in length to previous seasons. Anticipation for its premiere is palpable; fans anticipate thrilling battles and emotionally charged moments that will bring this story to an epic close, especially after the excellent previous seasons, which have managed to maintain a balance between faithfulness to the manga and the dynamism of an anime adaptation, with excellent animation quality and combining great fights and revelations with emotional moments that do justice to the series' legacy. So far, Crunchyroll has been streaming the first three installments of the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc and will likely be the home of the fourth and final installment. This allows fans to enjoy the episodes with Spanish subtitles, keeping the experience authentic and accessible. Will it be the end? Bleach has proven time and time again why it remains an iconic work in the world of anime and manga. With this new season just around the corner, fan excitement couldn't be higher. Whether you've followed the story from the beginning or are just discovering this exciting universe, this season promises to be an unforgettable experience. The release of this latest animated arc, along with the possibility of major events in the “Hell Arc,” has generated numerous expectations among fans, and a desire to discover what will come next. Could we ever see any of the light novels adapted into anime? Will the “Hell Arc” continue in animated format? Will we get a chance to see some of our most beloved characters who have already left the story? The questions are many, and the possibilities even more so. But one thing is certain: Tite Kubo has managed to keep fans' hopes alive. And you? What do you expect from this season? Bleach isn't just a story; it's an experience that has shaped generations of fans. With its conclusion on the horizon, 2025 promises to be an unforgettable year for fans of this masterpiece. In this article, we introduce you to Wado Ichimonji, Sandai Kitetsu, Shusui, and Enma, four of Roronoa Zoro's most iconic swords. How did they come into his possession, and what...
Zoro is undoubtedly one of One Piece 's most iconic characters. As the first member to join the Straw Hat crew, his story is deeply tied to his dream of becoming the world's greatest swordsman. But he's not only famous for his ability to fight with three katanas at once, but also for the legends and symbolism surrounding the weapons he's wielded throughout his journey. From the beginning, he's demonstrated a special bond with them. Thus, while some of them stand out for their historical or sentimental value, others have forged a reputation for being cursed or powerful weapons. In this article, we'll explore the most important characters that have accompanied him, their stories, and the reasons why they are true treasures in the world of One Piece . So, we invite you to learn about them with us. Wado Ichimonji (Image by Wado Ichimonji, decorative, high-end ) It is the first truly significant sword in Zoro's life, and one of the 21 O Wazamono grade swords, known for their extremely high quality. Forged by Shimotsuki Kozaburo, the same blacksmith who would later create the Enma sword. It holds a deep emotional significance for Zoro, as it belonged to Kuina, his childhood friend and rival. After her tragic death, Zoro kept it as a symbol of their promise to become the greatest swordsmen in the world. This katana has proven its durability and quality on multiple occasions, being the only Zoro sword to survive Dracule Mihawk's devastating attack in their first duel. While it has no supernatural abilities, it is an extension of its owner's spirit, constantly reminding them of their goal and the sacrifices that have brought them to where they are. Sandai Kitetsu (Image of Sandai Kitetsu, decorative replica, high-end ) It is one of the most intriguing that he possesses due to his curse, It belongs to the Kitetsu line of swords, known for bringing bad luck to their wielders. Of Wazamono grade, It stands out for its exceptional sharpness and wild temperament, which makes it difficult to control even for the most skilled. Zoro acquired it in Loguetown, after the fight against Mihawk, after two of his three swords were destroyed. The owner didn't want to sell it to him because it was cursed, but, to convince him and Testing his worth against the sword's curse, he spun it through the air and extended his arm beneath its trajectory. The sword narrowly avoided cutting him, proving he was worthy of its use. Sandai has been a constant companion and, despite its dangerous reputation, Zoro controls it with absolute mastery, being one of the ones he regularly wields. Shusui (Image of Shusui, decorative replica, high-end ) Another of the legendary swords Zoro has possessed, the O-grade Wazamono , stands out for its black katana appearance, a trait that symbolizes its wielder's mastery of haki. This sword originally belonged to Shimotsuki Ryuma, a legendary samurai from Wano Country, known as the "God of the Sword." He obtained it after defeating Ryuma's zombie during the Thriller Bark arc, this confrontation not only proved his worth as a swordsman, but also marked the beginning of his relationship with this powerful weapon. However, because the Shusui is considered a national treasure in Wano, Zoro returned it to Ryuma's grave during his stay in the country, accepting in its place another legendary sword: the Enma . Emma (Image by Enma, replica ) This is, without a doubt, the most powerful that Zoro has wielded so far, and also one of the O-grade Wazamono , forged, as we mentioned previously, by Shimotsuki Kozaburo. It belonged to Kozuki Oden, a legendary samurai from the Wano Country, and is characterized by its unique ability to absorb the Haki of its wielder and release it in devastating attacks. A skill that can be a double-edged sword, as it tests the swordsman's control and endurance. Kozuki Hiyori, Oden's daughter, gave it to him as a substitute for Shusui . Since then, Zoro has trained to master this challenging sword, managing to use it even in his fight against King, one of the most powerful enemies he has ever faced. that has been faced in the series. This katana has the potential to become a supreme grade sword ( Saijo O Wazamono ) if Zoro manages to blacken its blade, which would cement it as one of the deadliest weapons in the world of One Piece . Other swords Throughout his journey, he has also used several additional swords, some of which were destroyed or only used temporarily: · Yubashiri : At the Loguetown sword shop, not only did he acquire Sandai, but the shopkeeper Ipponmatsu, recognizing Zoro's power and skill as a swordsman, gave him this, which was a family heirloom, and one of the fifty Ryō Wazamono grade swords. Despite being light and very sharp, it was destroyed by the power of Shu's Devil Fruit, by a Navy captain. · Two unnamed katanas : Used alongside the Wado for an unknown period of time. They were destroyed during his first duel against Mihawk. He has also made use of occasional weapons, such as a tanto, a scythe, or even borrowed swords, used briefly to complement his three-sword style in specific situations. A unique bond between Zoro and his swords Every sword he's wielded tells a story, not just of his battles, but also of his growth as a swordsman. The current combination of the Wado Ichimonji , the Sandai Kitetsu , and the Enma is a testament to his evolution from a young bounty hunter to one of the most powerful swordsmen in the Grand Line. Beyond being combat tools, these katanas represent their bonds, promises, and determination. As we've seen, they are much more than simple weapons. Through them, we can understand their character, their history, and their tireless struggle to reach the top of the swordsmanship world. What would have happened if instead of Giyu, another Pillar had found Tanjiro and Nezuko initially? I'm sure you too believe that history could have been very different. Let's imagine...
In Kimetsu no Yaiba , the fates of Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado take a crucial turn thanks to Giyu Tomioka, the Water Pillar, who decided to protect them despite the strict rules of the Demon Slayer Corps. But have you ever wondered what would have happened if another Pillar had been in their place? Would their story have been just as hopeful or would it have ended in tragedy? Below, we explore some alternative scenarios that could have changed everything. What would have become of them if they had been found by…? Shinobu Kocho, Insect Pillar Shinobu, with her sweet voice and constant smile, hides a deep resentment toward demons. Although her approach is pragmatic and scientific, her hatred could have been a major obstacle for Tanjiro and Nezuko. Initially, Shinobu would likely have been curious about Nezuko as a unique phenomenon: a demon who doesn't attack humans. However, that curiosity might have led her to seek to study her rather than protect her. Her more calculating and less emotional approach could have created tension with Tanjiro. In a positive scenario, Shinobu could have used her ingenuity to prove Nezuko's innocence to the rest of the Corps, as well as her scientific value. But in a worst-case scenario, she could have attempted to poison her "for the greater good," as part of her experiments. From this perspective, the relationship between Tanjiro and Shinobu would have been much more conflicted, and Nezuko's fate could have been in danger from the beginning. Kyojuro Rengoku, Pillar of Flame With his energy and passionate nature, Rengoku could have been a father figure to Tanjiro and Nezuko from the start. His motto of protecting the innocent and his strong sense of duty make him a Pillar who would likely have defended the Kamado siblings. Rengoku might have seen Tanjiro and Nezuko as a case worthy of exception. His willingness to protect them would have been evident, though he might have faced difficulties convincing the Corps' superiors. It is also likely that Rengoku took on the role of mentor, helping Tanjiro improve his swordsmanship and offering emotional support. In this way, the plot could have taken a direction more focused on Rengoku's ideals of justice and compassion, with a faster development of Tanjiro as a hunter. Mitsuri Kanroji, Pillar of Love With her compassionate heart and ability to empathize, Mitsuri would have been a natural ally for Tanjiro and Nezuko. She would likely have felt tenderness toward Nezuko and admiration for Tanjiro's determination to protect her. Her instinct would have been to protect them from the beginning. And while she would have been a strong defender, her less assertive nature might have hampered her ability to influence the decisions of her superiors. With Mitsuri, the story could have focused more on the importance of empathy and emotions, albeit with greater challenges in gaining the Corps' support. Muichiro Tokito, Pillar of Mist Muichiro's initial indifference to others could have made this encounter very unpredictable. At his most distant, Muichiro would likely have ignored Tanjiro and Nezuko or considered them irrelevant. So perhaps the initial approach could have been initiated by them. As Muichiro recalled his own tragic past, he might have begun to empathize with Tanjiro's struggle to protect his only family. His more meaningful support might have come later, with a greater focus on the deep emotional impact, reinforcing the themes of memory and redemption. Sanemi Shinazugawa, Pillar of the Wind Sanemi, known for his deep hatred of demons, would have represented one of the greatest challenges for Tanjiro and Nezuko. His aggressiveness and distrust could have turned the encounter into a deadly showdown. He would likely have tried to kill Nezuko on the spot, without giving any room for explanations, which would have forced Tanjiro to confront him to protect his sister. Had Nezuko managed to demonstrate her self-control, Sanemi might have reconsidered his position, though this would have taken time and a great deal of evidence. Perhaps that self-control would have manifested itself in protecting Tanjiro, which would have sown doubt in Sanemi. In this case, her relationship with Tanjiro would have been tense and violent, with a darker focus and filled with internal conflicts within the Corps. Additionally, it could have led to a greater focus on Nezuko and her own development, proving her innocence and demonstrating her worth beyond her status as a demon. There are hundreds of possible situations and “universes” Each Pillar has a unique personality that would have given a different spin to Tanjiro and Nezuko's story. From Shinobu's pragmatic sweetness to Rengoku's passionate justice to Sanemi's aggressiveness, these alternatives highlight the richness of Kimetsu no Yaiba 's world. Do you agree with these interpretations? The choice of Pillars was a bit personal and a bit random, so do you think another Pillar would have changed the story in a more interesting way? In my case, I think the most interesting change to see would be with the Wind Pillar, Sanemi Shinazugawa, which is why I've presented this one to the end. And for you? I'd love to hear your opinions and theories! (If you are interested in discovering various merchandise from Kimetsu and other anime, you can search here )
