A path of blood and battles:
    the Thousand-Year War arc

The animated adaptation of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War began airing in October 2022, surprising fans worldwide by reviving one of the most acclaimed sagas of Tite Kubo's manga.

This new production, by Studio Pierrot, came with completely revamped animation, redesigned scenes, and a more mature and dramatic approach, airing on Disney+ and Hulu, reaching a global audience.

The arc was divided into four parts:

    •     Part 1: The Blood Warfare (October – December 2022)
    •     Part 2: The Separation (July – September 2023)
    •     Part 3: The Conflict (October 2024)
    •     Part 4: The Calamity (scheduled for 2026)

Each installment has delved deeper into the conflict between the Soul Society and the Wandenreich, the Quincy army, led by the fearsome Yhwach.
With each episode, the tone has become darker, the battles more intense, and the losses more painful.

    The Calamity:
    what we know so far

Anime Expo 2025 was the ideal setting to present new details about this long-awaited conclusion. Although an exact date was not specified, it was confirmed that The Calamity will air in 2026.
In addition, a stunning promotional image was revealed showing Ichigo Kurosaki engulfed in spiritual energy, with a determined look and his glowing Zanpakuto, suggesting that the climax of the war is near.

The full production team for this fourth part has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to repeat the quality work demonstrated in previous episodes.
The adapted screenplay, artistic direction, and orchestral music have been highly praised in this last stage of the anime.

For now, Disney+ continues to be the platform responsible for distributing the series internationally, ensuring simultaneous availability in multiple regions.

The legacy of Ichigo Kurosaki and the final battle

According to the official synopsis, Ichigo once again wields his Zanpakuto when a new threat arises in the living world and the Soul Society.

The Calamity not only promises the outcome of the battle against Yhwach but also to conclude the emotional arcs of fundamental characters such as Rukia, Uryu, Renji, Byakuya, and many more.

Tite Kubo himself has supervised various aspects of this adaptation, adding new elements not present in the manga, thus enriching the original material and creating a more complete experience for fans.

This last part is expected to feature extended scenes, new confrontations, and answers to questions that have been pending for years.
