The Colt Single Action Army Revolver of 1873, also known as the M1873, SAA, Peacemaker, or simply the Colt .45, is undoubtedly one of the most iconic firearms in American history. Following a patent by Samuel Colt, this cartridge pistol became a true piece of Americana, featuring a closed frame, a six-shot rotating drum, and a right-handed ejector.
Along with the Winchester carbine, the Colt SAA was a favorite weapon in the Wild West for its ruggedness and reliability. Despite the wide variety of barrel lengths produced, its overall appearance has remained virtually unchanged since its introduction.
Our beautiful replica of this legendary Western weapon is the original version with the standard 7.5-inch barrel length, also known as the Cavalry Standard, which was issued primarily to officers of the United States Cavalry. With handles made of wood-look synthetic resin and polished nickel-finished metal elements, our replica is a true work of art.
Like the original Peacemaker, our replica features a six-chamber rotating drum that rotates further by holding the cock and can be loaded with the supplied decorative cartridges via a rotating side-loading flap. Although the revolver's mechanism is fully movable, this replica is not functional or capable of firing.
Despite this, our replica is perfect for gun collectors, American history buffs, or fans of Western films and TV shows. It's also an essential accessory or prop for cowboys, lawmen, outlaws, and reenactors of the American pioneer era.
