The CST-88HS Competition Cutting Sword is Cold Steel's answer to the growing interest in Western sword cutting tests. While Japanese sword cutting tests have been popular for decades in both competition and practice, Western swords have been relatively unexplored in this discipline. With this sword, Cold Steel® seeks to boost Western cutting competition by offering a weapon of excellent performance.

The CST-88HS is loosely based on the Arbedo sword in design and is made to compete in cutting tests involving ropes, mail rolls, tatami mats and other similar "soft" materials. The sword features a wide, thin, double-edged blade, made from 1055 carbon steel, and fully sharpened and polished. The excellent quality of 1055 steel makes it extremely stable and resistant to the brittleness inherent in most high-carbon steels. In this way, the blade is ensured to have a high impact resistance, making it an excellent choice for weapons designed for cutting.

The CST-88HS sword's handle is made of wood with a leather covering, offering options to swing the sword with one or two hands and ensuring maximum control and leverage, even when performing more demanding tricks. The sword also features a simple and effective steel cross guard designed to protect the fingers and prevent any eventuality with other swords during competition.

The total weight of the sword is approximately 1440 grams, with an overall length of 108.6 cm and a blade length of approximately 77.5 cm, with a blade thickness of 3.6 mm. The CST-88HS is also complemented by a beautiful diamond-shaped steel flared pommel that forms a nice counterweight to the wide blade, providing added comfort and balance during use.

The right of withdrawal will not apply to products made by hand to order, products modified according to the specifications requested by the buyer or clearly personalized, except for manufacturing defects or errors. The delivery time for products made to order or personalized may take longer than usual depending on the workload at that time.

You must send the item(s) to us using your own means. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted.

The Customer has the right to withdraw from the order within 14 calendar days of receipt. Outside of this period, revocations will not be accepted for orders, nor for orders for the supply of goods made according to the Customer's specifications or clearly personalized, or that, by their nature, cannot be returned or may deteriorate or expire quickly, etc., that have been unsealed and/or used by the Customer.
