Our hand-crafted velvet jacket is cut close to the body and lined with a lightweight cotton fabric. All seams are reinforced with cotton tape and the attached lap is cut several times to make it particularly flattering on the hips.

The bodice jacket is provided with numerous laces (center front, side seams, elbow and shoulder), which allow it to be individually adapted to the body. Thanks to the lacing, the sleeves can be completely removed so that the jacket can also be worn as a corset. We recommend opening the lacing only at the center front, so that you can slide it off and re-thread the lace.

Due to its style and cut, this jacket can be attributed to the late Middle Ages. It can be combined very well with a dress or with a flared skirt and blouse.

In addition to the fact that velvet appeared in the Mediterranean region in the 14th century, it was mainly woven in Italy. Cotton velvet should not be put in the washing machine, as the velvet will wrinkle irreversibly. Velvet should also not be ironed, as this will cause the pile to lose its depth. We recommend brushing light stains with the clothes brush in the direction of the pile. In the case of coarser dirt, we recommend that you send the jacket to the dry cleaners.

To determine your dress size based on your body measurements, measure horizontally at the fullest point. For T-shirts, use your chest size as a guide.
If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
