Imperial Roman Gallic Helmet -G- Weisenau made of steel with helmet plume 1716606100

This Roman helmet (also known as Galea or Cassis ) is a faithful replica of a so-called Imperial Gallic helmet of the type "G" Weisenau ( Imperial Gallic "G" Weisenau ) from the middle of the 1st century AD. The remarkably well-preserved original artefact made of iron and bronze was recovered from the Rhineland near Mainz-Weisenau and can be admired in the museum in the Andreasstift in Worms. Characteristic identifying features of this special type of helmet were (among others) the sloping neck protection, the pronounced brow ridges, the forehead band and the circular decorative rosettes.

This authentic replica of a Roman officer's helmet with movable cheek flaps is made of 1.2 mm polished steel and richly decorated with brass applications. Since the helmet has no built-in lining, delivery includes a padded cotton hood, making it comfortable to wear. Small rings on the inside of the cheek flaps also offer the option of attaching a chin strap (not included).

The two-tone black and white crest , which was probably reserved for Roman soldiers with special powers within the cohort (e.g. the Optiones , the highest-ranking officers after the centurions), is made of natural horsehair. With the supplied brass bracket, the helmet cap can be properly attached to the Roman helmet.

The delivery time for products made to order or personalized may take longer than usual depending on the workload at that time.

You must send the item(s) to us using your own means. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted.

The Customer has the right to withdraw from the order within 14 calendar days of receipt. The cost of return shipping will be borne by the Customer. The products must be in the same condition as received, with the original packaging, and must not have been used. The refund will be issued using the same payment method used by the Customer .
