Viking Goggles Helmet, Spangenhelm with Chainmail 1716633300

This Viking Age goggle helmet is made of 1.2 mm steel. It consists of a blackened round helmet bell, a forehead band, two crossing bands/strips or clasps (a band across the crown and a band running from ear to ear) and goggles with nose protection. The individual helmet parts are connected to each other by steel rivets and the gaps between the steel bands are filled with Y-shaped brass plates or segments riveted to the bell with brass rivets. The ribbon fittings and the face/eye protection are decorated with a knotwork or basketry pattern in Celtic style.

The interior is blackened and fitted with a riveted and adjustable leather inlay. The 2mm thick black leather chinstrap is fitted with a steel buckle.

To protect the neck, collar and lower part of the face, the helmet has a chain reaching down to the shoulders. The chain mesh consists of non-riveted steel rings with an inner diameter of about 9 mm. The lower edge of the hood and glasses are equipped with riveted eyelets, through which a stable iron wire runs. The fountain is attached to it.

In the early European Middle Ages, the Spangenhelm was the predominant type of helmet. However, the helmet offered here is not an authentic reproduction of a historical original, but rather a free interpretation of the early medieval Germanic nasal helmets, buckle/strap helmets and spectacle helmets from the time of the Vendel and the Vikings.

The Customer has the right to withdraw from the order within 14 calendar days of receipt. Outside of this period, revocations will not be accepted for orders, nor for orders for the supply of goods made according to the Customer's specifications or clearly personalized, or that, by their nature, cannot be returned or may deteriorate or expire quickly, etc., that have been unsealed and/or used by the Customer. The Customer must notify THE ENTITY of their withdrawal through the Withdrawal Form (Link to the Document) by email, post, or fax, within this 14-day period. The cost of return shipping will be borne by the Customer. The products must be in the same condition as received, with the original packaging, and must not have been used.
