The colichemarde entered the sword stage of history in the 16th century, when the broadsword went out of fashion and the small sword slowly gained popularity. Its strength lay in the unique shape of its blade, which was particularly wide at the lower third and then narrowed and pointed to the point. The advantage of this blade design was that the sword could stop or avoid heavier blades without immediately breaking, while still being light enough to run at lightning speed.

True to the historical models, the Cold Steel version (Colichemarde sword, item no. 88CLMS) suddenly narrows the particularly wide lower third of the blade. The blade tapers to a very sharp point. The vessel consists of a two-part decorative plate, two finger bars, an ankle guard, a fully wrapped wire grip and a matching knob.

As an accessory to this magnificent sword, Cold Steel has created this matching companion dagger, featuring a beautifully polished blade, forward-curved braking element, and wire-wrapped grip.

You must send the item(s) to us using your own means. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted.

The Customer has the right to withdraw from the order within 14 calendar days of receipt. Outside of this period, revocations will not be accepted for orders, nor for orders for the supply of goods made according to the Customer's specifications or clearly personalized, or that, by their nature, cannot be returned or may deteriorate or expire quickly, etc., that have been unsealed and/or used by the Customer. The Customer must notify THE ENTITY of their withdrawal through the Withdrawal Form (Link to the Document) by email, post, or fax, within this 14-day period. The cost of return shipping will be borne by the Customer. The products must be in the same condition as received, with the original packaging, and must not have been used. The refund will be issued using the same payment method used by the Customer .
