Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, the first film i...

Demon Slayer: The Infinity Castle The Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) universe enters its final phase with the film adaptation of the Infinity Castle Arc. Ufotable returns to the big screen with a super production that initiates a trilogy, whose first feature film will arrive in Japanese cinemas on July 18, 2025, and will be screened in Latin America on September 11 and in Spain on September 12 of the same year, thanks to the joint distribution by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Below are the essential aspects of this release: date, trailer, plot, and its relevance for the franchise. Exhibition schedule and formats The film will be released in Japan in standard theaters, IMAX, and other premium large-format screens.International screenings will maintain this offering and will also be shown in original version with subtitles, and with dubs in Castilian and Latin Spanish, facilitating access for diverse audiences. Ticket pre-sales will be activated on associated portals starting in July for Latin America and August for Spain. Sony and Crunchyroll have designed a staggered campaign: July: domestic premiere, press conferences in Tokyo and Fukuoka, and an exclusive merchandising kit with a Tanjiro figure. August: IMAX premieres in North America and fan event screenings with 20 minutes of additional footage. September: launch in Spanish-speaking markets, with prior marathons of the "Mugen Train," "Entertainment District," and "Swordsmith Village" arcs.   Official synopsis with no major spoilers Following the Hashira Training, Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps are absorbed by Muzan Kibutsuji into the Infinity Castle, an interdimensional fortress that alters its architecture at will. The film covers the first section of the arc: the Hashiras' irruption into labyrinthine rooms, the clash with hordes of demons, and the appearance of Upper Ranks Doma, Kaigaku, and Akaza. Sword choreographies, concentrated breathing, and poisons developed by Shinobu set the tone for a battle where every second counts. The climax of the footage is reserved for the initial battle between Shinobu Kocho and Doma, a duel that combines strategy and sacrifice. The trailer: first visual and sound clues Released on June 28, the official trailer shows panoramic shots of the moving castle and confirms that Aimer and LiSA will perform the themes "Taiyō ga Noboranai Sekai" and "Zankoku no Yoru ni Kagayake".The promotional piece reveals fragments of Gyomei, Mitsuri, and Giyū's choreographies, and introduces the "Transparent World" that Tanjiro awakens against Akaza. With fast editing and contrasting saturated colors, the preview emphasizes Ufotable's characteristic cinematic texture.   Direction, animation and music Director Haruo Sotozaki returns to the helm; Akira Matsushima serves as character designer and animation supervisor; Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina compose the orchestral soundtrack that blends symphonic choir with amplified taiko and shamisen. The combination of 2D illustration, hybrid 3D effects, and virtual cameras promises three-dimensional battles without sacrificing the original artistic line of Koyoharu Gotouge's manga. Community expectations The franchise has accumulated box office records thanks to Mugen Train (2020) – the highest-grossing anime film in Japanese history – and analysts predict similar figures for this new episode. The commitment to fidelity to the manga and the participation of the saga's most emblematic singers reinforce fans' confidence The first film of the Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle trilogy marks the beginning of the definitive confrontation against Muzan Kibutsuji. With a set release date, a trailer that exhibits outstanding technical quality, and a consolidated creative team, the feature film is shaping up to be one of the most important animated cinematic events of 2025. The combination of epic, drama, and visual virtuosity guarantees an unmissable experience for both series veterans and new viewers seeking high-level action and emotional storytelling.   Don't miss the collection of Kimetsu no Yaiba products we have to offer.

Two premieres that will mark Anime Expo 2025: T...

Premieres at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles The weekend of July 5 and 6, 2025 will grab the attention of global fandom: during the Anime Expo in Los Angeles, The Summer Hikaru Died and Bad Girl, two productions that, despite belonging to opposite genres, share technical ambition and immediate global distribution, will be screened in advance.   The Summer Hikaru Died: Rural Terror and Existential Grief Adapting Mokumokuren's manga required preserving its blend of melancholy and horror, and CygamesPictures entrusts this task to director Ryōhei Takeshita, whose resume in supernatural tension scenes was forged in Jujutsu Kaisen. The series will be broadcast simultaneously on Nippon TV, ABEMA, and Netflix, ensuring immediate reach after the Anime Expo premiere. The story is set in Kubitachi, an isolated valley where Yoshiki discovers that his friend Hikaru has been replaced by an entity that reproduces memories and gestures with macabre precision. This approach does not resort to explicit jump scares: it cultivates psychological terror based on prolonged silences, evasive glances, and the suspicion that everyday reality has been replaced by an imperfect replica. The visual team enhances this atmosphere with "dorodoro" sequences, animated by Masanobu Hiraoka, whose fluid strokes deform the image when the supernatural erupts. The contrast is reinforced by Yūichi Takahashi's designs, characterized by clean lines that make the impostor's organic alterations even more unsettling. The soundtrack alternates the opening theme "Saikai" by Vaundy with the closing "Anata wa Kaibutsu" by TOOBOE; both songs underscore the duality between affection and threat. The original manga, published in 2021, has sold over three million copies and received nominations for the Manga Taishō and Eisner Awards, indications of prior interest that Netflix hopes to turn into a global phenomenon. The special screening at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku and the panel with the author in Los Angeles reinforce the strategy of simultaneous launch in the two main anime markets.   Bad Girl: School Comedy with a Subversive Twist Twenty-four hours after the premiere of Hikaru, the Anime Expo will screen the first episode of Bad Girl, an adaptation of Nikumaru's yonkoma produced by Studio Bridge.Directed by Takeshi Furuta and written by Shoji Yonemura, the series satirizes "model girl" clichés by narrating the self-imposed metamorphosis of Yū Yutani: a brilliant student who deliberately becomes rebellious to impress Atori Mizutori, the disciplinary committee president. Unlike other school comedies, the dramatic engine is not involuntary transgression, but Yū's conscious calculation, whose descent into mischief measures how far she will give up her identity to gain emotional recognition. The vocal cast —Azusa Tachibana (Yū) and Niina Hanamiya (Atori)— maintains the humor without diluting the romantic tension. The music by Arisa Okehazama, known for The Apothecary Diaries, and the energetic opening "Super Big Love!" by Tenrogun establish a pop tone that contrasts with the sober interiors of the school; this visual dissonance reinforces the critical reading of school hierarchies. After its run at the Anime Expo, the regular premiere will arrive on July 6 on Tokyo MX and BS11, as well as Amazon Prime Video, DMM TV, ABEMA, and the global platform HIDIVE, which will facilitate a simultaneous rollout in English-speaking and Asian markets.   Twin Premieres and Industry Synergy Scheduling two premieres of such disparate genres at the same event is not accidental. Netflix is betting on The Summer Hikaru Died  as a standard-bearer for psychological horror, while King Amusement Creative and HIDIVE seek to attract an audience that demands light narratives after the dramatic intensity of other titles on the summer calendar with Bad Girl. The Anime Expo 2025 will offer an eloquent contrast between the existential perturbation of The Summer Hikaru Died  and the luminous irreverence of Bad Girl. The first invites us to question what defines the authenticity of a bond when physical presence no longer guarantees humanity; the second demonstrates that the search for acceptance can subvert the most rigid codes of conduct.By presenting both premieres in the same venue and on the same weekend, the industry shows that modern anime is capable of encompassing, seamlessly, everything from cosmic melancholy to the most carefree school comedy. For critics, fans, and new anime enthusiasts, the event promises to become the thermometer that will measure the narrative directions of Japanese animation in the second half of the decade.   Had you heard about these anime before? Dragon Ball: The Evolution of the Most Iconic C...

The Most Iconic Dragon Ball Characters Throughout Its History The Dragon Ball franchise, created by Akira Toriyama, has captivated audiences worldwide thanks to its dynamic characters and epic battles. From the original series through Dragon Ball Z and Super, its protagonists have undergone significant transformations. In this article, we analyze the evolution of some of the most iconic characters in the Dragon Ball universe.   Goku: From Saiyan to Super Saiyan God Goku, the main protagonist, has lived one of the most extraordinary journeys in anime history. He started as an innocent child with a monkey tail in Dragon Ball, and through tireless training and demanding confrontations, his evolution has been constant. First Steps In the original series, he is presented as a child with superhuman strength and a pure heart. His first adventures include searching for the Dragon Balls and training as Master Roshi's disciple. Transformations in Dragon Ball Z At the beginning, Goku discovers his Saiyan lineage, which explains his extraordinary combat ability and the distinctive trait of his tail, as well as his ability to turn into a "Great Ape" under the full moon.Later, the introduction of the Super Saiyan state marked a milestone in anime, representing his ability to overcome impossible limits. Divine Powers With Dragon Ball Super, Goku reached even higher levels, such as Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue.Fighting against gods and other powerful entities, his journey embodies the ideal of constant improvement.   Vegeta: From Rival to Redeemer Vegeta, the proud Prince of the Saiyans, stars in one of the most complex developments of the franchise.Introduced as a villain in Dragon Ball Z, his narrative arc becomes a story of redemption and personal growth. A Threatening Arrival His first appearance showed him as a relentless antagonist, obsessed with immortality and surpassing Goku. This laid the groundwork for one of the most iconic rivalries in anime. Path to Redemption Throughout the sagas, Vegeta mellowed his character. His alliance with the Z Fighters and his bond with Bulma revealed his more human side. And although always one step behind Goku, he also had the opportunity to demonstrate his immense battle capabilities, which increased with effort and hard training, showing that not everything revolved around natural talent: will and effort are equally significant. In Dragon Ball Super, he solidified himself as a true hero with his own principles.   Piccolo: From Demon King to Earth's Protector Piccolo's evolution is also one of the deepest and most symbolic narrative arcs within the Dragon Ball universe. His transition from feared villain to respected hero and paternal figure represents a complex narrative of redemption, which has solidified him as one of the most complete and valued characters in the franchise. The Original Piccolo Introduced in the original series as the son and reincarnation of Demon King Piccolo Daimaō, Piccolo is born with a clear goal: to avenge his progenitor's defeat at Goku's hands and conquer the world. His battles were intense and his power, fearsome. In contrast, we can also observe a solitary childhood, in which he seemed to yearn to know the concept of a family. Mentor and Protector Throughout Dragon Ball Z, Piccolo experiences a transcendental change in his character. His decision to train Gohan after Goku's death constitutes the most relevant turning point in his redemption arc.During this training, an unexpected emotional bond emerges, transforming him into a true mentor and paternal figure for his old enemy's son. Furthermore, Gohan's warmth, with his childlike innocence, made him experience feelings and emotions he hadn't had the opportunity to know before, which raises the question of whether his nature would have destined him to be a villain by Piccolo Daimaō's will when he was first brought to life, or if the environment, lacking a home, family, or friendship, led him to it. It is even suggested that, during the time spent with Gohan, he might have come to know him even better than Goku, in some aspects of his personality. Wise, Powerful, and Leader In Dragon Ball Super, Piccolo maintains his role as a mentor, though now expanded to an interplanetary level. He remains essential as a technical, tactical, and emotional guide, assuming a key role as a mentor and defender of Earth.   Bulma: The Brilliant Innovator Bulma is a constant presence throughout the saga. Her intelligence and technological skills have been fundamental to the group's progress and the achievement of many of their goals. Adventurer with Talent From the beginning of Dragon Ball, she is depicted as a brilliant scientist. Her ability to build everything from Dragon Ball detectors to dimensional storage capsules quickly positions her as a technical genius. Key Support in Every Confrontation In Dragon Ball Z, Bulma expands her prominence as the mother of one of the future warriors and Vegeta's partner, offering an emotional counterbalance: rational, protective, and outspoken. Her active and decisive personality directly influences Vegeta's emotional evolution. Technological and Diplomatic Leader In Dragon Ball Super, she not only continues as an inventor but also leads planetary and galactic scale projects. Her greatest technical achievement is the creation of a time machine, and her mastery of alien language and technology allows her to converse with gods and higher entities. This consolidates her as a determined, visionary woman with leadership capabilities.   A Legacy of Transformation The evolution of characters in Dragon Ball reflects universal themes such as personal growth, redemption, and overcoming challenges. From Goku's eagerness to grow stronger to Vegeta's moral redemption and Piccolo's transformation, each trajectory adds depth to a universe that continues to conquer generations. As the franchise continues to expand with new sagas and challenges, the constant transformation of its protagonists remains the central axis of its charm. For veterans and new viewers alike, Dragon Ball offers a story that continues to inspire.     Don't miss the opportunity to visit our store and see the Dragon Ball product collection we have to offer you.

Squid Game, Third Season The third season of Squid Game premieres on June 27, 2025, bringing to a close a trilogy that has redefined the dystopian thriller genre on streaming platforms.Originally conceived as a limited series, the saga was extended due to the global success of its first two seasons, garnering over 168 million views at its inception. Now, the bold conclusion offers refined technical staging, extreme moral dilemmas, and psychological confrontations of global scale. This season picks up immediately after the brutal suppression of the rebellion led by Seong Gi-hun.Now, the characters face a sequence of trials that combine emotional anguish with escalating violence, including new collective games such as team challenges and advanced psychological tests. Decisive Characters and Narrative Evolution The identity of Hwang In-ho, the well-known Front Man played by Lee Byung-hun, is expanded with greater dramatic depth. His strategic role returns with the aim of presenting a version of absolute control to the VIPs. In contrast, detective Hwang Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon) intensifies his investigation, though his storyline is complicated by the presence of a traitor among his allies. Among the survivors, prominent characters include Cho Hyun-ju (Park Sung-hoon), whose transgender portrayal adds a layer of social realism and emotional leadership, and the mother-son duo of Geum-ja and Yong-sik, whose bonds are strained by impossible decisions. Also, Kim Jun-Hee's pregnancy is expected to have even greater relevance. The season was filmed consecutively with the previous one, allowing for aesthetic coherence and continuous narrative flow. It maintains its distinctive style characterized by dehumanized childlike settings, surreal geometries, and a symbolic chromatic palette, reinforced by distorted childhood music, such as the song Mingle, an element with strong cultural significance.   Transmedia Expansion Strategies The effort to broaden the brand's impact includes a collaboration with Fortnite, which replicates emblematic settings.Additionally, Netflix has confirmed three promotional trailers, following a strategy of escalating anticipation. Moreover, its massive reach has led to cooperation with many brands, which utilize its aesthetic, and street advertising, which includes the participation of actors wearing the series' characteristic outfits in everyday urban situations. Six Details Revealed in the Latest Trailer A scene where the main character asks why they let him live, which raises the uncertainty of why the game needs him to stay alive. His frustration is palpable after the failed rebellion attempt and the death of his friend, but we can see that he will continue in the game. Player 44 appears in numerous scenes in the trailer, leading fans of the series to believe that she will have significant relevance this season, even seeming to become Gi-hun's antagonist, or at least be on an opposing team to him at some point. She appears to lead a group that follows her, believing in her powers. The new game of the doll and her boyfriend appears, which consists of jumping rope that the dolls move at high speed. This could be an equivalent to the tug-of-war game, as players are on a kind of bridge; if the rope knocks them down, they will fall into the abyss. Another game that appears is the key game, where there would be two teams, blue and red, with the latter being the hunters, responsible for eliminating players from the other team, while the blue players will receive keys to open doors in the labyrinth and find an exit before being eliminated, both avoiding falling into traps. We can also see that mother and son are on opposite teams. An image of the police officer entering one of the rooms designated for those watching the game can be seen; in the different trailers, the scene of him in that same room is always repeated, which can offer opposing views: on the one hand, thinking that he will not have much presence this season either, on the other, imagining that something relevant will happen there and they do not want to give us more details. The trailer ends with Gi-hun wearing formal attire, and in past seasons, finalist players wore such attire, so we can assume that he will reach the final and that the game could not be stopped earlier. The phrase "Do you still have faith in people?" is also heard, suggesting that this season will feature more than one event aimed at showing betrayal and posing survival at the expense of others, aiming to demonstrate what the creator of these games wanted to prove: that people are, in reality, evil. The Ethical and Narrative Outcome Hwang Dong-hyuk has reiterated that this conclusion will explore the conflict between the valuation of individual conscience, systemic failure, and the manipulation of social capital. The final confrontation is expected to be between Gi-hun and In-ho with deep emotional resonance. This third season represents the closure of the story with new challenges, an intensification of the moral debate, and a spectacular visual display.Squid Game solidifies its position as a phenomenon that transcends entertainment, inviting conversations about the human condition under extreme stress and the limits of instinct, the desire for survival, and greed.June 27, 2025 promises a definitive and unforgettable experience.
