Softcombat Standards

The sword is a weapon that can be used by any character prepared for battle, from strong warriors to accurate sorcerers. Their balance makes them the best softcombat weapons to start in this art and they are chosen by both beginners and veterans for their ease of use, as well as their ease of being accompanied by a good shield or a good dagger.

We take this opportunity to summarize the basic rules of a softcombat battle . The rules do not currently have an official international body that unifies the different versions, but most regulations present certain common rules:

  1. - All weapons must pass a safety and reliability test.
  2. - The force of the blows must be moderate to avoid causing greater damage to the opponent. - Blows to the head and neck not only do not count, but may be reprimanded and penalized.
  3. - Grips and holds are prohibited, as is direct physical contact. Each regulation dictates which are the valid scoring zones, the life points that are subtracted with each blow or the blows necessary to win. Another world is the full-contact softcombat modality, which does allow more direct contact and does not comply with these guidelines.
