All About Pokémon Go
Can you imagine a world where the characters from your childhood come to life? Going outside and, with just a glance around, discovering magical creatures that invite you to explore, socialize, and live adventures. That's the universe that Pokémon GO managed to create; a phenomenon that has captured the imagination of millions of people.

Created by Niantic, the idea originated from a previous project called Ingress, an augmented reality game that encouraged players to explore the real world. Combining the popularity of Pokémon with augmented reality technology, in collaboration with The Pokémon Company and Nintendo, Niantic launched the game in July 2016, and it quickly became a global phenomenon.
Since its launch, it has transformed the way we interact with our environment, turning every walk into an exciting search, and inviting everyone from children to adults to leave the comfort of home and go explore.
Here, you can learn more about this dynamic game.
The Beginning of the Adventure
Upon first logging in, you can link to an account for easy access from another device. Then you will meet your guide, Professor Willow, who explains what you need to know about the app.
Starting the adventure, it offers a wide variety of options to customize your trainer, beginning with choosing between a male or female character. It also allows you to choose your starter Pokémon from the classics, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle, staying true to the "starter choice" concept that every trainer in the Pokémon universe typically experiences.
Augmented Reality
With the use of augmented reality (AR), when you encounter a wild Pokémon, you can turn on your phone's camera and see the Pokémon in your environment through it.
For iPhone users with 6s models and newer, AR+ mode allows you to get closer to Pokémon, offering the opportunity to catch them more easily or take the perfect photo.

Buddy Pokémon
This feature allows you to choose one of your Pokémon to accompany you, appearing next to you on the profile screen. Additionally, it will reward you with candies and other prizes as you walk with it.
Adventure Sync
This tool allows you to track your distance traveled, even when Pokémon GO is inactive. This way, you'll continue to earn candies for walking with your buddy and make progress toward hatching Pokémon Eggs.
Additionally, you'll receive notifications when your buddy finds Candies or an Egg is about to hatch.
Each week, Adventure Sync will provide a summary of your activities, and you'll receive rewards for each distance goal achieved.
This feature connects with the Health app on Apple and Google Fit on Android.

Your Own Pokédex
In Pokémon GO, as you level up, you'll have the opportunity to catch more powerful Pokémon; each encounter and Pokémon you obtain will be added to your Pokédex, the encyclopedia every trainer dreams of completing.
The Map and Its Information
The Pokémon GO map is based on Google Maps data and information collected from Ingress. It uses geolocation to allow players to explore their surroundings in search of Pokémon, PokéStops, and Gyms.
Additionally, PokéStops are carefully designed to be points of interest, such as monuments, museums, or parks, encouraging players to discover them. Identified as a generally blue cube that transforms into an interactive disc, they allow you to collect Poké Balls and other items by spinning it.
Trainers level 40 or higher can request stops by proposing public points of interest, contributing to the expansion of the Pokémon Go world.
On the other hand, Gyms are battle points where players can fight for control and demonstrate their skill. They can hold up to 6 defending Pokémon, and can be challenged from level 5 onwards, in simple and fast battles where you can use basic and special attacks, and move strategically to avoid damage.
Also, by spinning the Photo Discs at PokéStops and Gyms, Field Research tasks appear, offering rewards. And Special Research, presented by Professor Willow, delves even deeper into the game's story.

Battles
It is possible to face off against other Trainers in real-time, using a battle code and selecting three Pokémon for the fight; success lies in paying attention to rival attacks and strategically using shields and protections. Upon completion, both players will receive rewards.
Cooperative Mode
One of the most exciting experiences in Pokémon GO is its team play mode. You can join a team, where you can collaborate with other Trainers to strengthen your Gyms. Each Pokémon can defend a Gym, and you must work together with your teammates to maintain a solid defense.
You can also challenge rival Gyms; if you manage to reduce their motivation to zero, the Gym will be yours.

What can you earn?
Players can earn in several ways, by capturing Pokémon, completing missions, and participating in Gym battles, gaining experience and resources that help them improve their skills and catch more powerful Pokémon.
As they level up, they also unlock items to heal their Pokémon, improved Poké Balls that will increase their chances of capture, and Berries that will help along the way.
Additionally, participating in special events and raids allows you to obtain rare Pokémon and exclusive items.
Friendly competition also adds a social element that makes the game even more appealing, making the possibility of forming friendships another reward, so here we can truly say that the real triumph is the friends made along the way.
Why does it fascinate the world?
The magic lies in its ability to bring people together. It encourages physical activity, contributing to a more active lifestyle, exploration, and social interaction.
Many players have formed lasting friendships through this game, and it has also been used in community events and charitable activities.
Furthermore, the nostalgia evoked by the Pokémon franchise attracts all ages, creating a sense of community and belonging.
